Delano Public Works staff is removing trees around the City that are impacting the stormwater management system or bituminous trail system. Maintenance and access to the stormwater ponds and outlet structures is required to allow them to function properly. Stormwater ponds are intended to allow maintenance access around the entire perimeter of the pond. Some trees have shallow, widespread roots that can infiltrate pipes and pavement, which can be problematic. Only trees required for maintenance access or causing damage to city infrastructure will be removed. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
