Light the Night Kick Off Party - Friday, Nov. 29, 2024
Description: Join us in Central Park on Friday, November 29, 2024, for the Delano Light the Night Kick Off Party, a magical evening filled with food, fun, and festive cheer! Fill your bellies with delicious food, take a stroll through the breathtaking light display, and keep an eye out for fun characters roaming around the park. Warm up by the fire while enjoying your favorite Christmas songs. It’s the perfect way to kick off the holiday season with family and friends! This is a community-organized event.
Location: Delano Central Park
- 5:00–6:00 PM: Free Will Offering Meal (Soup, chili, hotdogs, cookies, chips, and beverages)
- 6:15 PM: Official lighting of the display, which will remain open to the public throughout the winter season
- 5:00 - 8:00 PM: Music
Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony - Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024
Description: Join us in River Front Park for the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Santa will be coming to town on a carriage. Carriage rides will be available for all. S'more will be given out to the first 200 people by Delano Area Chamber of Commerce. All the downtown retailers will be open late. Enjoy the sounds of the season with Sound Revolution. Come and experience a what it most be like to be in a Hallmark Christmas movie. This event is organized by the Delano Area Chamber of Commerce.
Location: Delano River Front Park
- 6:00 PM: Burning barrels are lit
- 7:00 PM: Santa comes into town
- 7:10 PM: Community Christmas tree is officially lit
Delano Old-Fashioned Christmas - Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024
Description: Delano Old-Fashioned Christmas will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7, 10 AM - 5 PM. Attendees can expect a whole day of activities of Old-Fashioned Fun, including Christmas music, and Old-Fashioned Christmas Market, a holiday train, warming fires and s'mores, Storybook Character Hunt, and more! This event is organized by the Delano Area Council for Arts and Culture and the City of Delano.
Location: Downtown Delano (City Hall, Delano Fire Department, Library, etc.)
