Websites and social media
Staff develops and maintains the city's website, working with city departments to promptly post updates. They also maintain the city's social media sites such as:
Quarterly, staff develops and mails a city newsletter to all residential properties within the City of Delano. Discover Delano! quarterly newsletter is full of information about upcoming events, city news, municipal programs, and seasonal reminders. In addition to the quarterly newsletter, the city also publishes a monthly newsletter. This newsletter contains information regarding city information and events for the current month and a monthly update from our Mayor. These publications can be found at City Hall, Senior Center, Delano Wine and Spirits, Great River Regional Library, Delano Post Office, and Coborns. If you'd like printed copies at your place of business, please contact the communications department.
Cable Channel 180
Cable Channel 180 is part of the Sherburne Wright Cable Commission, which administers and oversees the cable franchise with cable provider Spectrum Communications. The City of Delano will broadcast the City Council, Planning Commission, and Water, Light, and Power Commission meetings live as well as playback throughout the day. A wide variety of print materials are produced by the communications staff. Many items are mailed directly to homes in order to keep residents informed of important citywide events.
Staff provides computer and technology support services to city employees and work with our IT provider, LOGIS, to provide network and software support.
