Building Permit Application Forms
When to Pull a Permit
A permit is required prior to a building being constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, or demolished. This includes fences and decks. All projects need to pull a permit and submit the necessary plans.
Hiring a Contractor
Before hiring a contractor, please verify that they have a license and bond from the State of Minnesota. The contractor should pull the required permits for the work that they will be doing. Prior to closing your project, verify that the contractor has scheduled and completed all inspections.
Submitting a Form/Plan Review
All submitted plans are date stamped when received. Plans will be reviewed in date order in which they are received. Plan review turn around time for residential projects is two to four weeks. Please plan accordingly. Permit applications and plans can be emailed to buildingpermits@delanomn.gov
