What to Expect
Participants will engage with City staff and officials in a variety of settings, ask questions, tour City facilities and learn about the services and functions of a growing community. This is a great starting point for future civic involvement and service! Delano’s Citizen Academy is a completely free program that is open to the entire public, including non-Delano residents.

It’s okay if you can’t commit to each Thursday evening—just come when you can! All participants are asked to register before attending. Please register online using the form below.

- April 3: City government structure and state of the City of Delano
- April 10: Finances, city administration, and elections
- April 17: No session
- April 24: Community Enrichment & Building/Zoning
- May 1: Public Safety
- May 8: DMU site tours – water treatment plant and power plant
- May 15: Delano Wine & Spirits and a tour of select City projects
